Prices for orange diamonds vary greatly depending on size, color intensity and clarity. Particularly pure and intensely colored stones are extremely rare and achieve top prices. A famous example is the diamond “The Orange”, which was auctioned for around 23 million euros in 2013 - this corresponds to around 1.8 million euros per carat. Smaller, intensely orange diamonds also achieve high prices: In May 2024, for example, a fancy diamond in deep yellow-orange with 8.01 carats sold for CHF 504,000.
